. Personally, I feel they should respect your beliefs and they should'nt over step their boundaries.

I had a similar experience several years ago when my mother-in-law died.  We decided to bury her here instead of in Puerto Rico (she was living with us when she died) because our money was really limited, we were given a burial site by my side of the family for her, etc.

So all the family flew in from everywhere.  My husband keeps his saint room locked, but I have a boveda and a table with Yemaya in my home office. 

My poor little Southern mama came to me practically hopping from foot to foot - "Someone's moved Yemaya!"

Sure enough, someone had been in my office.  I was never 100% sure who did it, but I had my suspicions.  I didn't raise hell about it because I didn't want to upset innocent, grieving people just to make a point to one person with no manners or respect. 

Everybody in the house knew damn well what it was....that I'm sure of.

I believe it is both ... The reason being ... Ignorance is something like ignorance ... But, not if you are grown like , why , would you be that close to someone's ~ Altar ~ ... Thats disrespect right there . How are you going to ignore , not speaking up ... And a deity may not ignore it .....

As , far as a visit .. If it , was on purpose .. Um Most likely !
The energy is a main factor , which is connected to the incident , or Action to "remove" , or "interupted" the Altar . Accident ? or Not ? As to what may be the outcome .
Look at the middleeast - people die over religion disrespect issues daily .
